Stimulus Resources

When I put “stimulus package” into Google, I got almost 11 million results. Yikes.

With so much being written about the stimulus package, it can be hard to know where to begin. So we’ve done some legwork for you and selected some resources that are particularly helpful starting points:

Recovery.gov is a site dedicated entirely to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA, or the stimulus package). The site tracks where the money is going, how it is being spent, and provides useful updates for those interested in prospective opportunities.

From recovery.gov you can also access departmental summaries of the funds, including the Department of Energy’s, as well as links to each state’s stimulus site for opportunities from stimulus dollars already allocated to state agencies.

From recovery.gov you can also access departmental summaries (the Department of Energy has lots that’s relevant) as well as find each state’s stimulus site.

The IRS has compiled a list of energy provisions in the stimulus package, outlining energy improvements you can do this year to get a break on your taxes next year.

In addition to these resources, NECA’s Government Affairs team has just released an extensive guide of stimulus resources and opportunities. This document, available to NECA members, can be accessed here.

The Government Affairs team has also announced that they’re happy to assist NECA members who are bidding on stimulus projects. Give them a call if you have questions or need further resources. (Read the article here.)

I hope these resources help focus your work on making the stimulus work for you. What other sites or publications have you found helpful for tracking the stimulus?
